International flights and domestic flights from Lisbon and Porto arrive at Faro International Airport which is located six kilometres west of the city of Faro. The airport is the gateway to your holiday in the Algarve.

Independant Travel
 
A bus shuttles between the airport and the town centre for anyone travelling independently, and taxis are plentiful. There is a rail link from Faro which runs between Lagos in the west and Vila Real de Santo Antonio in the east. Also the bus service links Faro to all the main towns in the Algarve.
